No one likes privacy policies, but in an attempt to make ours more bearable, we’ve written it in plain English as much as possible. No legalise here. We care greatly about digital privacy/freedom and have taken every step possible to allow as little data collection as possible. You can see the details below.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We collect only the personal data you send to use via our contact forms, and we use it only to provide our services to you. More detail below…

Contact forms

When you use the contact form on our website, we receive the personal information you provide to us there. This includes:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your business’s name
• The message you provide

We use this information solely to respond to your request. It will never be sold to third-parties, used for marketing, or used for any other purpose than to respond to you. We keep contact form submissions and all the data therein for the time period we are doing business with you. After they are no longer needed for customer service purposes, we will permanently delete them within one week.

Cookies

We install no cookies on your device. Our website has no need for cookies currently. If we need to use their functionality in the future (for Ecommerce etc.), we will only use those absolutely necessary for proper functionality. We’ll never use them to track every website you visit and more as Google does.

Analytics

Currently, we do not use an analytics service. However our hosting provider does obtain some mostly anonymous analytic data when you visit our website (as all hosting providers do) because it is hosted on their server. Anonymous data they collect is:

• Date/time of request
• Pages/URLs requested
• Browser type
• Operating system
• Referring/exit pages
• Clickstream data (The order you accessed pages on our website.)
  

Personal data they collect:

• Your IP address
• Your internet service provider

This data is collected by essentially every server (website) on the internet, and it’s so routine that it’s normally not disclosed. This data can be used to identify your location. Therefore, we highly recommend you use a VPN to mask this data. We use and recommend Mullvad VPN.

Our hosting provider discloses that they use this information to count website visits for billing purposes.

Who we share your data with

We do not share your personal data with anyone.

How long we retain your data

Contact form submissions will be deleted within one week after you are done working with us.

What rights you have over your data

If you would like all your contact form submission data deleted sooner, please reach out, and we will delete it promptly. As required be law (in some places), you also have the following rights:

• Access – ask what personal data we hold about you.
• Rectify – request correction of inaccurate data.
• Delete – ask us to erase your data.
• Restrict – limit how we process your data.
• Port – receive a copy of your data in a structured, machine‑readable format.
• Object – object to processing based on legitimate‑interest grounds.
• Do‑not‑sell (California) – we never sell your data, but you can still send us a “Do‑Not‑Sell My Personal Information” request.

How to exercise these rights:
Send a request to nathan@trwebworks.com including the e‑mail address you used with us. We will verify your identity (e.g., by asking you to confirm the request from that address) and reply within 1 week.

Where your data is sent

Your contact form submissions are sent to us using Protonmail’s private encrypted email services, and it goes nowhere else.

Data‑breach notification

If a breach that could compromise your personal data is discovered, we will:

1. Investigate immediately.
2. Notify you without undue delay (generally within 72 hours) via the e‑mail address on file.

Children’s privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger than that.

How we protect your data

Throughout our website we detail many of the things we do to honor your digital privacy and your customer’s. We will only ever obtain personal data from you that is absolutely necessary for us to create websites for you and provide our services. We will never sell your data, use it for marketing, or allow third-parties (like Google) to steal it from us through use of their “services.”

We’re aware of the small, sadly routine, data our hosting provider collects. We don’t like it, but it was a calculated business decision to use them because we are not equipped to run our own servers right now. We offer the option to use different hosting providers, but we can’t guarantee as fast website load times.
